GET EFFECTIVE TEETH ALIGNMENT WITH INVISALIGN® IN VICTORIA

Traditional braces have been used to enhance the appearance of people's teeth for many years. However, if you want to improve the structure of your teeth without traditional braces, custom-made Invisalign® is a good option. Invisalign® clear aligners are a great way to straighten misaligned teeth without compromising your look or facing the discomfort of sharp metal edges in traditional braces. Call Sherwood Family Dental Clinic for Invisalign® aligners in Victoria. Our orthodontists can treat misaligned or crooked teeth, underbite, overbite, and crossbite. Unlike traditional braces, they can be removed for flossing and fit more conveniently on your teeth.

Treatment with Invisalign®

You must first speak with our dentist to see if Invisalign® is the appropriate treatment choice for you. If it is, we will establish a personalized treatment plan, we take impressions, photographs and x-rays of your teeth on your first visit. We will have your custom set of Invisalign® clear aligners ready at your next appointment. For your next set of aligners, you must return to our clinic every six weeks.

How Does it Work?

Your orthodontist will design transparent aligners to help straighten your teeth with computer-generated images and imprints taken from your mouth. The Invisalign system applies an effective and ingenious approach to straightening the teeth by creating a series of individually altered and specifically designed aligners that are removable. The aligners in the Invisalign system are made out of transparent plastic material, and one simply needs to wear them over their teeth for them to gradually be in the ideal position.

Braces vs Invisalign®

While both Invisalign® and braces are used to straighten your teeth, there are certain distinctions between them. Have a look at what they are:

Treatment timespan - When compared to conventional braces, the Invisalign® treatment is faster. Most patients must use the Invisalign® for six months to a year, based on their medical history, whereas braces therapy takes an average of two years.

Comfortable aligners - Invisalign®, unlike traditional braces, causes little discomfort and allows you to acclimate to your new set quickly. Your Invisalign® can also be readily removed as needed. Traditional braces do not provide the same level of comfort.

Appearance - Traditional braces use metal and ceramic brackets that are permanently attached to your teeth throughout therapy. They are noticeable and can detract from your overall appearance. Invisalign®, on the other hand, is constructed of BPA-free plastic that is invisible to others.

Cost - Although Invisalign® is more expensive than traditional braces, the difference in final costs is not much. When compared to conventional braces, ceramic braces are usually more expensive. Your dentist will provide you with a detailed estimate of the treatment costs.

Invisalign® Advantages

Patients with overcrowding and gaps between their teeth can benefit from Invisalign®. It aids in the prevention of dental issues and gum diseases. These aligners are also easy on your lips and gums and provide you with more comfort than traditional braces.
